A neighbor of mine is here with a quilt that her grandmother made along time ago(130 years ago). It is in bad shape in some areas and has some stains on it. What would you use to clean the stains?

Edit: On second thought, since it is 130 years old, she probably needs to take it to a museum curator for assessment. They could advise her on the best way to clean the quilt (or not, depending on if it even should be cleaned). Quilts with historical value need to be cleaned differently than quilts that will be used. I would use the RetroClean only on a quilt that is to be used.

Very good advice. If one is not available in her area she may be able to email photos and information to one. Also sometimes there are quilt appraisers who are knowledgeable in this area. I would interview several before taking any one person's advice though.
