I spent one day cutting all the material for a bear paw quilt and the next day sewing all the pieces to make each block and it was only after making several bear paw blocks that I discovered that the claw print does not match the print of palm blocks. The print is the same, but the back ground color is 3 shades darker on the bear palm than the claw print. Oh well, some days step in those cow piles and some days you don't. Laughing here. So this morning I started over and made sure every thing was the same color.

OH Sandy, you sound just like me. At least you can laugh about it :)

Some days are like that. I have days like that to.

I hereby grant you the "artistic" license to step in any colored cow pie you want.

Remember, you MEANT to do that! It's your own personal design element. :-)

It might look cute that way! Look at it again!

Yep, I understand. Just go with it and call it a choice in design.
Im thinking it would probably look pretty good and give the blocks some movement.

I would not change it. When my design goes off plan, I say that it really wants to be that way. There's nothing saying that the paw has to be identical to the toes, particularly since the fabric is in the same color family. Maybe his toes got stuck in some berry bushes and he got some juice on em.
