Maybe ask around and see what people in that area are willing to spend on a table runner?
Would it be possible to sell raffle tickets for a lap sized quilt in the school colors? People are usually willing to spend $5 for a worthy cause to buy a ticket.

$1 raffle tickets for the table runners? and some to sell outright?

Would other colors sell better than school colored table runners?

How about pillow cases? They are comparatively easy to make.

I think I am going to make a quilt for an upcoming raffle that the squad will be promoting - I don't think we can command the pricing for a quilt at this type of fair. Definitely table runners in school colors and I NEVER thought of pillow cases! Good idea!

The quilt will be my choice of color though - somehow I don't think everyone will appreciate a quilt in purple, black and white....heehee

You can always lower the price but you can't go up so price it a little higher and see what happens.

I'm sorry-I misunderstood; thought it was going to be a school fair, not community (I had another blonde, senior moment). I think $15-20 is good, a low price, but probably what (nonquilting) people will pay. I was at a community fair and someone was selling runners; they were 2 pieces of fabric, no batting, sewn together and turned (birthed) right side out. She was selling those for $15.00. NO quilting or stitching, just a flat fabric runner.
Good luck-hope you raise a lot of money.

I just watched Kaye wood make a potholder & table runners that were fast & easy to make. You could make several in a day. It was on KayeWoodTV.com These you could make out of your scraps.

yes the pillowcases might sell! Think about how much moms will spend to make our kids smile. And the Go Green bags some in school colors too.

Me too! I already started cutting out one as a sample. Will post pics when done.

It's a potato festival?

Then what about "potato bags" made in school
colors? And with a nice label fixed near them to
tell folks what they are and how they are to be
used.

This might get both the potato people plus the
school folks who want something to show their
old school loyalty.

Ramona - that is as cool as the pillow case idea! Wow - the chairperson for this fundraiser is going to LOVE me
