I was thinking this much too. Unless it's a gift, you don't want to just give away your work! What if you ended making a bunch for everyone? Be sure & make it worth your time, & supplies!... You are worth more than that, & so is your talent!

I agree!

Ditto...does 4 dollars even cover materials, let alone your time?

The pattern used sew on snaps but I like the home spun look of buttons and I added a key ring. Do you think $4 is too much or not enough? What would you sell them for?

Your time is worth far more than $4. You've probably got that much in fabric!

I see that you're in Illinois. I'm out in the west coast and would probably charge $10-12 or so.

I've made a "boat load" of those little wallets and sell them for $6.00, but I'm thinking of raising my price!!!

I would ask between $10 and $12. They are very cute and you couldn't get something like that at retail for $4.

$10 minimum...if you become a good marketer, $12-14...stocking stuffers, hostess gift, a "gratitude" gift for someone who has been very helpful to you, teacher's gift (I would have loved it!), of course, a few to a charity for them to auction...be sure your identity is attached.

I saw some made up in a LQS and they were charging $8.00.

Someone once told me to figure the price of my materials and multiply that by 3 to arrive at a reasonable price. It works out to be quite fair for all concerned.
