I tried using it yesterday on a pillow cover hem and really had no luck. I ended up hand sewing the hen closed. Has anyone used this product before and what results did you have? Thank you, birdlover

it simply holds your fabric until you can stitch it, it does not work for a permenent bond. there are different fusables out there which may work for a lasting bond, but i have never found one. as far as i'm concerned all fusables are just good for holding until stitching (with the acception of heat and bond heavy...which is next to impossible to sew through)
liquid stitch works ok too.

i have used it and you have to iron it on to get it to work. but ckcowl is right it is just for a temporary binding. you do have to glue or sew to make it permanent. it is a great product.

I have used it with no problems.

I use the kind on the roll for hemming pants & skirts - never had a problem - use med. heat and lots of steam.

a word of caution on Heat N Bond - you can scorch it easily, and then it releases it's grip... and it does NOT like steam!

I also have used for hemming with good results. It has lasted for many months. Some I finally had to re-do and some are still fine. You do need lots of steam in order to melt it and get it to bond. I used a damp cloth and the steam from the iron.

I have used it for hemming and it worked fine. I just use it to stabilize til I can sew when I am quilting.
