How & where do you store quilt items not on display?

I have many table runners, toppers, etc that I rotate through the year. How and where is the best way to store them when not on display? Big box under the bed?, hanging in the closet? Rolled up on shelf? Need more ideas since I would rather not have them spread out all over the house in nooks and crannies. Thanks!

I don't have many of these, so it's not an issue for me, but my friend puts them on hanger like you would pants and puts them in the back of a closet.

Good luck!

Some runners (some I made, some I bought) I have stored in a drawer. Quilts are stored, folded on a closet shelf. A couple of quilts are on walls where I have some space.

I hang mine on pant hangers (get them free when you shop at Kohl's ). Hang them in a linen closet.

If you have a spare bedroom you can spread all your quilts in layers on the bed, then you dont have to worry about refolding them, because of creases. I have an armoire where I store evrything else, with tissue paper where its folded.

I've seen this tip a few times - folding quilts so you're not stressing seams ...

My small items are on pant hangers in the spare bedroom. Quilts are on a carpet roll. I got a carpet roll from the furniture store. I cut it to fit my closet (standing up). I sewed a muslin sleeve for it and roll my quilts up around it. I roll a clean sheet on the outside and fasten the ends with 2 large elastic bands like a giant tootsie roll. It stands on end in the spare closet with the small items.

I also have a barrister's bookcase in my living room. It makes a beautiful display case.

I too have a barrister's bookcase and have been contemplating emptying it for quilt storage.

Out of Christmas, my Christmas quilt is stored inside a pillow sham sort of a cover that coordinates with the quilt. Just that it has nothing Christmas-y on it! So I can leave it out for decoration.

Smaller wall hangings are hung on coat hangers in a suit bag.

The spare bed has been known to have many quilts on top!
