I bet alot of you have already read or are reading now books by Jennifer Chiaverini...if not shes the author of some really good books based around quilting...matter fact I have seen these books at the quilt store I shop at...I am just now reading the first one "the Quiters apprentice" she wrote them as stand alone books but if you want to read them in order she lists them in order on her website which by the way shes got some nice quilts posted there...these are some light hearted good little summer books not heavy reading just some light stuff to entertain...

I have not read her books but I did make her challenge quilt. Someday I hope to be able to sit down and read a book from cover to cover.

I have read every one of her books and they are great. I met her at a quilt show in PA and she was fabulous-so down to earth and friendly. She had never quilted a day in her life when she started writing these books, but I think she is one of us now!

I thought they were to be read in order so I just happened to go to her website one day...a friend of mine that reads her books said they do tend to continue so I think I'll stick to reading them in the order she wrote them...

I have read these books (also in order). They are good to read and I even passed them on to my mother-in-law. She likes historical books with good story lines. I haven't started the last book yet, I'm saving it for vacation to visit my daughter out east. Did you catch the short two-part story in Quilters' Newsletter last year? It was also good.

I'm on the 5th book and really like them. I also got the quilting books that correspond to the patterns/quilts in the books.

I just finished what I think is her latest one...Winding Ways. It tells how all the different characters originally met each other. I thought it was pretty interesting.

Does anyone know of any other fictional books about quilters? Or books that have characters similar to the ones in Chiaverini's books. They are great "people".

I loved everyone of them and enjoyed rereading them. Its like keeping up with old friends.

Another suthor that mentions quilts in her books and titles is Ealene Fowler. Hers are mysteries.
