And I love LOVE LOOOOVE it. She has a few small cosmetic blurps, but she has been well maintained and sews like a dream. I can't believe how whisper quiet she is! She has all original attachments and a few extra feet, but no walking foot  and no owner's manual. Good thing those mechanical machines are so straight forward. I'll try to post a photo later.

That is a great machine! I have a 1230 and love how she purrs. Plus, she is totally reliable.

Congratulations!

Woohoo! Congrats! My Bernies say "hi"! They'll all be out and purring along soon, as my living room will be a quilting studio all summer while my kids are in Africa with family. I cried and cleaned for a day and a half after they left, but now I'm mostly cleaning and organizing, less crying. We made Rockford sock monkeys on the 440 the day before they left. The 930 will be basting layers, soon, I hope.

Ok, here's the problem, my friends. I love this machine soooooo much, that it makes me wonder why I spent all that money on my big computerized machine. I'm not a real adventuresome seamstress/quilter and I've found I use almost NONE of the bells and whistles. The only element I appreciate exclusively on the "big girl" is her 12" throat. Why doesn't Bernina put out a simple machine with a huge bed? I think it would sell like absolute HOT CAKES amongst us quilters.

I agree...and long arm mechanical Bernina would be SO SWEET! |
I agree- a large throat on a simple machine would be wonderful and a good seller!
