I was on ebay a little bit ago and I came across some repo fat quarters. I decided to check out the seller's store and found she was also selling finished blocks and quilt tops.

Her little notes said that if the things don't sell, she's going to throw them away!!!

If you would like to rescue any of the items that she has, here's the website:

I just can't believe that someone would put all that work into this and then turn around and throw it away.

I don't believe it. I think it is just a selling tactic.........but that is just my opinion.

looks like the word is spreading. I checked her site and seems she is getting lots of bids!! I'm happy to see that. I hate to see good fabric going to the dump!

My friends mother threw a LOT of good stuff away when she moved in with my friend. They begged her to donate it to Goodwill and she refused. You just never know about some people. Could be that she will toss it in the dump.

When my mother cleaned out to move, she threw so much away! It was so sad. Who knows if this is true. The person must not have been the quilter!

you know the old saying if it's to good to be true....but in these times anything is possible.....I can see where someone would get discouraged or just because they don't know about the fabric world it could go at a good price ..but I tend to believe it is a selling tactic...

I realize that it could be a selling tactic, I'm not quite[i] that naive, however since my FIL passed, DH's family wants to throw everything away. She says that some of the blocks were traded. How sad to think that you put work into something only to have it tossed like garbage.

I just don't understand people like that.

Lee,
I agree. That is so very sad.

Hey I'm really sorry Quiltinlee if I rubbed you the wrong way....or made you feel naive....but My Father passed last year and we too had so much to deal with there was all kinds of craft projects as well but most all the fabric was rotted...so buyer beware...and it wasn't that we wanted to throw things away but you can only keep so much and give so much away and that is what we did we gave to the local charity center ...the majority we gave to family members what was fit to give ...and what we washed that truned to strings we put in the trash...I realize you meant well...sorry again if I hit a sore spot sure didn't mean too....

I don't get how people can toss things out like that. Its just like the fabric I got from my Aunt. Her sister couldn't sew anymore and was gonna toss all her fabric, But THANKFULLY my Aunt grabbed it and brought it to me

It really does seem too good to be true, but may bid on some of it tomorrow. Seller has a good rating.
