Woo hoo! It's the start that's hardest. Even though I have done many, in my Janome 1600 and my Tin Lizzie, i STILL have a heck of a time getting past the fear of starting.

Keep up the good work. Much better for them to be used. I too am new to FMQing. Am taking baby steps and this works for me.

The quilt is washed and dried and on my bed even though it's only 55x64". It crinkled up nicely. I like the texture the quilting gives it but the thing I don't like is the thread color. The background is mostly pink so I went with a pink thread and it looks fine there. Where I have dark red squares and narrow border, the thread looks almost white and I can see every wonky stitch. :-)

I just got my FMQ foot for my Brother machine that I had ordered. Any Ideas on online tutorials? I have no idea what I'm doing but would love to learn how to quilt some heart templets I just bought for a baby quilt
