I got a Featherweight!!!!
Went to the big city and left my friends sewing machine for a cleaning. On the day of pick up we had to wait while it was done. So DH suggested we go over to the pawn shops and look around. At the 3rd shop I spotted a Singer Featherweight 221- model # AM393946. If I have checked the numbers right it a Prisam from Feb. 1956. In excellant condition with lots of attachments. In the case were 2 buttonholders with tons of cams and some other stuff I need to gets pics of and post so I can figure out what they are.
Photos to come later! |
Lucky you. What a wonderful find. I love my featherweight.

Wow! I can't wait to see pictures of your new Featherweight. Mine is a 1952 model which came with nothing and her finish isn't perfect; but she sews like a dream and, so far, I have been able to repair everything that has gone wrong with her. I love that machine! I know you will love yours too. Happy sewing!
