Congratulations on your new machine! What fun! I got my Janome The Heart Truth machine in October and I love it!

I agree with FancyFoot, invest in a quarter inch foot. I bought the Janome Quilt Kit which included a walking foot, 1/4", open toe, and free motion foot.

And you can use Class 15 bobbins which you can get at Jo-Ann's.

Have fun with your new machine. Doesn't it sew like a dream?

Congrats on the new machine!!! I've had an older basic Bernina for about 12-13 years that works great but only has 6 stitches. My husband surprised me with a Janome 6600 for a combined birthday/Mother's Day gift recently and it just blew me away. It seems so high-tech compared to my Bernina. I've sewed a little with it but still getting used to it! I can't wait to play with it more this summer after we're done with our home-school year! Have fun with your new machine!!!!!

Congratulations. I have the Janome Quilters Companion and I don't know what I did without it. I agree with the other quilters - don't use any other bobbin. You can get a 1/4" foot for your seams, I have one, but do sort things out with your dealer when you meet.

Congrats on your new machine! I have the Janome 6500 now for 2 years and love it. But I did break my auto threader somehow and haven't taken it in yet to get it fixed, I miss it. You'll love yours. It took me some time to get the hang of it, but worth the effort.

You'll be stitching up a storm and trying all your new fancy stitches for certain.

hugs sue
