Yesterday, my DH and I went to the store where I bought my 6600 to get more needles and bobbins. While there, I was showing him the embroidery machine I was saving up for (the 350E). He proceeded to declare that I shouldn't wait and just get it now if we could get a good deal. He also said that I needed to get a new table while we were at it so that I could have one that would adjust for my 6600 to be at the right level for me instead of hurting my shoulders. The dealer gave us over 25% off a floor model 350E and a table with hydraulic lift! It's sitting right now in my living room until I can make room in my sewing room for it. Isn't my DH the bestest!!!? I can't wait to get it all set up and figure out how to do all this cool embroidery! As soon as I get it set up, I"ll post pics.

Wow Lori,

Yes you do have a wonderful hubby.
Having a hubby that supports your love for quilting is such a joy.
I know exactly how you feel.
I too am blessed with a wonderful hubby who supports me in the same way.

Enjoy your new machine and table.

Don't forget to show us some of your pretties you create with this new machine.

Happy sewing.

nursie76 09-19-2009 05:49 PM

You DH is definitely a keeper!!! Wow! How awesome!
My hubby is very supportive too...wouldn't have my Bernina 440 if it weren't for him. Like your husband he said "Why go for the cheaper model later, when this is what you want and at a great price!" In fact, today he stood and picked out all the embroidery thread for 2 designs while I took a class!

Enjoy your new machine...I know you will! Can't wait to see pics of the glorious creations you are going to produce!.

Oh...give that DH and extra hug tonight, you must be a wonderful wife to have such a wonderful hubby!

Yes he is definately a keeper. We've been married now 28 years and I think I'll keep him as long as I can!.. 8)

The 6600 is now in the cabinet and the store is ordering an insert for me so I'll have a nice flat surface. Sure will help my back and shoulders to have it at the right height. The 350E is now sitting on the cabinet I was using that my father made for me. I couldn't bear to part with it, so it'll just have a new life holding the embroidery machine and projects in process.

Now I just need to figure out how this all works.
