Ordered it a week or so ago, I was expecting it in the mail, started into town to do some shopping and passed the mail lady, turned my truck around and waited for her. Havent had milk in the house for 2 days. Anyway, Ive played with it and did some lessons and designed a quilt for my mom. Tomarrow after I run to town and get some milk I'm gonna start printing out the pattern. I know theres still alot to learn with it, and I'm up for the challenge. I played around a little with the drawing and it seems a little tricky. EQ program may get me away from this board...LOL...not likely. Should've bought this years ago.

Don't feel bad, I have EQ4 and didn't mess with it much, either. Maybe today, I will check it out.

Me too, We got snow over the weekend so it would be a good day to stay in my fluffy robe and slippers and just go for it. I did get it loaded to my laptop but that doesn't work unless you open it up and play with it!!!

Me too...I have had mine for a couple of years...but I am a "show me" person...my husband said it is like autocad.

Good for you!! The more you play with it the easier it will be to create even more beautiful quilts :D:D:D

Want to try a program like EQ 7 for free? Go to http://www.reginagrewe.de and click on LINKS. then click on Quilt Assistant V2.20, V2.21, and 2.22 (all one entry). Then follow the directions to download for free.

You also might like the free paper piecing patterns Regina designs. I ended up buying all her patterns because I love them all.

Mine came with a book that is very helpful. It is sorta like autocad. I had that program years ago. A friend gave my husband a copy of that to help him with his work, he never could figure it out. I had alot of fun trying. EQ is so handy to me because I rarely use a "pattern" I just wing it. Get the basic instructions and start building a quilt. Very rarely does it end up the way I planned because I always want to add things or remove them. So now all that is done on the puter instead of in my head and on the design wall. Gonna save me alot of fabric. I've only made 2 quilts by instructions givin from a book or pamphlet. Good luck everyone, get out those programs and play, you never know you might just design that blue ribbon quilt!
