Write over them carefully with the proper marker?

Can you draw over them with a fabric marker and heat set them?

Can you trace over these signatures with the pen that you provided? Watching this to see what others say on it.

Use your iron to press it and it should keep the signatures fine.

My fear would be that if they used some kind of GEL ink it will run once it gets wet. If this is the case, maybe use a light box and trace the signature or see if she can get those people to resign another block with the CORRECT pin! If there isn't a fear of gel ink on the quilt I would do as others and just trace over the signature with the pin!

I read about a signature quilt where the signatures were sewn over. Maybe that would work? Good luck.

you could scan the signatures and print them on printable fabrics.

If the blocks were a lot of work to piece, I would just leave them alone , quilt it up and explain to GD that some of the signatures may run when washed. You could embroider over the original signatures but the pen may run underneath when washed.
If they were simple blocks and you feel like the extra work, you could use a light box to trace the signatures (using the correct pen) onto new blocks. Why can't people just follow instructions? Bummer!
