I second Warm Wishes. It will look really cute with a juvenile print in the focus block with coordinating fabrics for the pieced blocks. Warm Wishes is basically a Rail Fence block (the center strips is wider than in rail fence)with a plain block. It's easy but looks really nice.

I'm making Charming Baby (#1146) from Whistlepig Creek for our 3rd grandbaby due the end of this month. It has Prairie Points and has gone together very quickly and easily! In fact it went together so quickly I have time to hand quilt it :)

I love to make baby quilts. Here is a wonky log cabin top that I made.(Haven't got it quilted yet)[ATTACH=CONFIG]353752[/ATTACH] It was really easy because nothing had to match. All you need is a cute focus fabric.

Another very easy quilt is get a focus fabric and make 6 inch blocks and then get two co-ordinating fabrics to make 3 inch blocks another piece for a 1 1/2 inch border and another piece for a 3 inch border. It takes 1 yd for focus fabric, 1/2 yard for other two fabrics 3/8 yd for 1st border and 1 yd for outside border and then 2 1/2 yds for backing and binding if using the same fabric. Will try to post a picture if I can .

I've made pinwheels in colorful kids fabrics, or simple blocks using I spy fabrics. I also made a double Irish Chain that turned out really cute using pastel fabrics for the chain with small appliques of ducks, stars, moons, and other assorted kids things between the chains. For something really fast and simple the panels are great or get a themed kids fabric and fussy cut for centers of blocks with simple borders around each block. So many possibilities. Do a google search for free children's quilt patterns for lots of ideas.

I recently quilted two very cute ones. This one was just simple 4 patch alternated with a plain white block and set on point. You could easily substitute brights for the pastels and because you have posted in the past you use a LAQ, quilting wouldn't be a problem:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t195439.html This next one was even simpler, 16 log cabin blocks with all whites on one side and all colors on the other set in a barn raising pattern. If I remember correctly the logs were 1 1/2" finished so they were made with 2" cut strips. The center square was 2" finished so the piecer started out with a 2 1/2" square. I recently finished making these two baby quilts from my new nephews arriving this fall:)
