I learned the same trick in 4-H club. I made my first skirt at the age of 6 that was in the 50 also I'm getting old as the hills too

Hi Yvonne, This looks like what I saw someone in our quilting group doing. I just didn't "get it" at the time. I'll give it a try. Thanks so much.

Hi Sharon, Thanks for the words of encouragement. What I'm really getting "good" at is ripping out all the mistakes I make. I'm loving it anyway.

Age is just a state of mind....(that means I'm a little older than you.) LOL!

A book I was reading called ripping out seams, "Frogging".

"Rip it! Rip it! Rip it!"

My sister preached at me long enough than I have come to believe that un-sewing is part of the quilting process. I still don't enjoy it though!

Yvonne, you just put a little fun into ripping out seams.....rip it, rip it!! I LOVE IT

Yvonne,

Thanks for the 'giggle." I don't especially enjoy the ripping out part but it gives me hope that I can do it right the next time. I know it doesn't have to be perfect but my skills are really rusty and I think I rush things without thinking them through. If nothing else, learning to quilt is teaching me patience!

I'm so glad I found this forum...you ladies are great.

Brenda
