Hey everyone,
true to my fast and easy philosophy, my latest quilt is being made using Moda's pre cuts. Using the Blush fabrics (love them.. in pink, teals and browns).. I've started with the layer cake (10" squares) but also have several strips of the 5" charm packs sewn together (may convert to a baby quilt for a friend). I was thinking of attempting a quilt large enough for my king (so 100x90" I guess).... and using many of the 10" squares for center, then maybe doing a border strip in white, then using the 5" squares as an outer edge (maybe 1/2'ng them), before binding. Hopefully this is making some sense. Any thoughts/other ideas appreciated re: using larger pieces as main focus (i.e. get done fast) but doing something a bit more intricate to add some dimension/interest. One of these days I'll break out of my squares but for now, having fun!! :) :)

Leigh

How many 10 inch squares are in a layer? I saw that blush group and loved it too. I was afraid to order layers, jellys etc, not knowing how much I really need for a queen size quilt. Afraid to order in case I don't get enough and then cant find more if I need it.
