Ideas to use large design fabrics
Today I purchased 2 large trash bags overstuffed with fabric that I found on Craigslist..THere are quite a few yardages with large design patterns. I want to use these to make quicker lap quilts for charitys....What patterns do you like to use these types of designs? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

There are lots of ideas here http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...ts-t75876.html
I love One Block Wonders (OBW) for large prints. This one would be nice for a large scale floral http://www.spotlight.com.au/inspirat...-garden-quilt/ |
You could cut relatively large squares of the large print and then border them using narrow strips of other fabrics to make each block. That should go together quickly and look nice.

Here is a picture of one that I just put borders around. I am very happy with it, and the idea might work for you.

DINA--great idea...I can add variety in the hand quilting..My daughter asked me today to make a quilt for her to raffle at work for the March of dimes...I actually had a piece of fabric with the same type sneakers they use to name donors..I cut squares 6 inches, and put 2 inches of a color in the fabric around each one..Then a border of the fourth color...I planned, cut a pieced it all today....And all from the stash I got yesterday~~If I can get a camera working I will post a pic~!
