Okay, I've never sold anything on here before, and was wondering how everyone else handles it. I have decided to part with some of my stash (isn't it funny how our tastes in fabrics change over the years?)... anyway, when you sell stuff and aren't looking to make any money on postage, do you find out how much postage will be, then ship after you receive payment, or do you ship the fabric and then just wait for the check? Just curious as to what is "normal". any advice would be appreciated. I do have a pay pal account, but have only used it for buying stuff, never received money, so I'll take advice on that too, if that's how people normally handle it.

I've never sold anything myself, but I've seen it done both ways. Just recently I bought some things from mistymarie and she is just going to let me know what the shipping will be when she gets it out. I would say maybe sell it by what would fit in a flat rate priority box, then you will know how much it costs and not get yourself stuck paying part of it. Hope this helps you.

I cannot understate how well the flat rate priority boxes handle most of the shipping issue <wave> a brilliant creation!
And, I have used paypal ... or, if I "know" the person really well, I send a check and when they are sure it has cleared, they send me the product.

Don't forget about the flat rate envelope either. It can hold a lot of fabric for just under $5. It is made of a plastic that doesn't tear easily and works well.

Any written material such as books or pamphlets can be sent media mail at a much reduced rate. It may take a few days longer but the rates are better.
