If I find a pattern I like but it's not in the colorway I want, I go direct to the manufacturers website so that I can look at all of their fabric line(s). Then I do a search for price. And I certainly pay attention to the quality of the fabric. I'm not about to put in oodles of work with a cheap fabric that will fade/wear out in several years. Mostly, I stick with the name brands found in the quilt stores, but buy online at a sale price.

No, I don't pay any attention to names at all, because I've had too much advertising, and I know how names entice and deceive us. I don't like being controlled this way. I look at the fabric, and if I like it, I get it - I don't care what the name of it is... I'll get it.

I might look at the fabrics with the appealling names first...but eventually I will look through all of them and buy the ones I really like! : )
