Come see our Employee Quilt Show! This is the first time we have done this, and it is so exciting (and nerve racking). It starts in about a month. We have had an Employee Art Show for about 5 years, and last year there were so many quilters who wanted in, we decided to do a Quilt Show. I have a great bunch of ladies helping me put it together. There are 13 of us in the Show. I will post pics after the Show. I have seen (at least pics) of most of the quilts, and I can hardly contain myself! AND... once news got out we were putting together a quilt show - The International Quilt Study Center & Museum asked if we wanted to hold it there too! So, we have 2 weeks on campus, then 2 weeks at the Museum. And immediately after that is the local quilt guild show (and I do mean immediately, a few of the quilts will be in both shows, and the day we tear down after the Museum part of the show, that very night, we take the quilts to be hung for the local guild show that starts the next day!). Oh, and a special thanks to Diana of http://www.petersphotography.net/ who designed the posters and bookmarks!

That is so great! I've been to the quilt museum and it is beautiful! What a great background for your quilt show. :-D

Wish I could come. I could stay with my cousin and see all the others to teh west. Been a long time.

Your flyer is great. Have fun.

I will definitely try to go. It's only about an hour drive from me. Sounds like fun! I've never been to a quilt show before.

Wow, I look forward to maybe meeting some of you! I will be at the reception, the First Friday and the Meet the Quilters Event. Look me up, my name is Trudy. If you come to the Rotunda Gallery part of the show, you can call me from a campus phone (just dial 29006, no coin needed) and I will take a quick break - if possible- to run over and meet you, I just work in the next building. The First Friday is when all the local art galleries stay open late, and have free admission. So, this is a great time to check out the International Quilt Study Center & Museum without the expense! The building is fantastic! OOOooo - I am so excited!

I did a search by "location: Nebraska" and found a page of quilt board members, but other than creating a PM for just one at a time....how can I contact each Nebraskan as a group, or enter multiple users? Or is it just best to enter this as I did, on the Main site, and hope all Nebraskans see it? I would so love to meet a few of the quilting board members! And this show would be a great opportuniy to do so!

I will post pics after. My daughter is a professional photographer, so I will have her do some for me.

I'm so excited for you!!! I so wish I could be there to see it all in person, but I'm too far. I do visit the Museum website---does that count?

Can't wait to see the pics and hear all the details of your stories. Have fun whoever is going and hope you get to meet more from here on the board.
