I'll be visiting Ireland this year....is quilting popular there?

I'll be visiting Ireland this year and am wondering if there will be quilt shops for me to visit while I'm there...I'd hate to have withdrawal while I'm away. Anyone from Ireland on the board who could direct me to any shops would be appreciated or anyone who has visited and could share...would be helpful to me.

Depending on when you go to Ireland....the first Internation Quilt Festival in Ireland will be June 7-10, 2012
Perhaps you can search the web for information and it might give vendors etc that you could visit if not going in June

I have seen an Irish quilt magazine at out Walmart so they must have a fairly good amount of quilters?

Fabrics are much more expensive. But, yes you'll find shops!
