When you make flying geese how do you do it? My method is to use my cut down methods and make HSTS and then sew two HSTS together.

Since there are many ways to make them I am challenging anyone who is interested in using their prefered method and timing yourself. Then post your method and how you did it and your time here.

I know everyone works at a differant speed. This isn't a contest with a winner or anything but just an experiment to see how quilters deal with making Flying Geese and which methods are faster or more efficient.

So if you are interested in my experiment:

Make 8 flying geese units and sew them into a quilt block.
You can use any size you want.
Just make sure to time yourself to see how long it took you.

This is just a fun excersize and not a contest.

I like to use my flying geese ruler which makes several at a time. I'll try to do something this weekend and post pictures with a time when completed. Interesting.

i like the ricky tim method as i am going to try that as soon as i got what i am working on now. it is only one seam. and no wasting fabric. blessings ogama
