I bet you are proud! I tried for years to get my now 21 year old daughter, who moved back in to go to back to college, to quilt. Last week she came up to me and said she wanted me to help her make a quilt for her friend's baby shower. Needless to say, I was a proud Mom too! We both must have had an influence on our daughters when we didn't know it! Awesome! :)

Congratulations! Take pictures along the way so you can have them to look back on. I see you are in Western KY - Bowling Green area?? I am in South Central KY - Elizabethtown/Hodgenville area.

I'm so happy for you and your DD. She will have a lifetime of joy and skill from what she is learning from you. My DD is not at all interested in quilting or sewing. Her DD is 15, and doesn't have time for such. Maybe one day! I suppose my soon to be ex- DIL will get my stash, as well as my herd of machines, vintage and otherwise!

Smiling in happiness for you......

That is so great. I have three daughters and they do not sew. They are missing the good stuff.

Hi Pam- I'm actually even further west than Bowling Green, I'm on the Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky border where the rivers merge :)

You are so lucky! We've purchased sewing machines for granddaughters but they aren't too enterested and neither is daughter but DDIL has some but she has so many irons in the fire with 2 little ones, her job and all her other projects lol

How Lucky you are! I was excited when my daughter made a few small "panel" blankets when she was about 14. I thought for sure she would get the sewing bug. oh well it was nice sharing my love with her even if for a short time.
Today she LOVES to choose fabrics for me to sew! HA!
