I'm such a proud mom!
My 17 year old daughter came to me this evening and said, "Mom, will you teach me to make a quilt?"
Like I could say no! So she's sitting beside me at the sewing machine that her great, great, grandma used, and is putting together 4 log cabin squares to make a wall hanging with. She cut the strips herself and after I showed her once how to put the squares together, she's doing it herself :) So proud!! |
Congrats. You must have done something right!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh how fun! Anxious to see her walhanging!
That is so nice! My daughters are not interested in making quilts at all. They like the results but not the process.
You ARE blessed. I never had anyone (that I knew) in my family that quilted, nor do I forsee new DIL taking to quilting. I envy all of you that come from long line of quilters or have someone to quilt with.
Yes I bet you are the proudest Mom on the block. I'm just like Suebee. So Happy for you!
So happy for you!! Have only one out of 7 daughters interested!! Guess who gets my stash and her Grandmother's first sewing machine when I die!!
Congratulations another quilter is born!!!
It's always thrilling to hear about the tradition of quilting being passed on to the next generation.
Hooray!!! Another member of the Sisterhood of Quilters!! Enjoy sharing your love of quilting with her...
