Can anyone show / tell me how to make the french braid
pattern that interconnects the rows. Most french braid
patterns are made in rows (from top to bottom), then trimmed square on the edges and sewn together. The one
I watch actually interconnects. Sorry I don't have a picture.

Hard to tell what you are asking without a picture. I haven't seen one that interconnects.

I, too, was intrigued by this pattern(s) - there are many... go to your library (or online) and find the book(s) about "French Braid Quilts: 14 quick quilts with dramatic results" by Jane Hardy Miller; Lafayette, Calif. : C & T Pub., c2006.
It gives plenty of info... more than you might want or need! LOL

Good luck.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's done very much like a log cabin...but without a photo it's hard to tell.

All the french braid designs are trimmed on the edges. The "interconnect" look comes from color placement. See the photo below. At first you think the braids are all "interconnected", but if you look, you see the bands are trimmed straight on the edges and it's the way the colors connect that makes it look as it does.

No, there is a pattern that interconnects. I have seen the quilt. The person that made it did so a long time ago and
can't remember how she did it. Hopefully someone will
know the method....

Thanks, I have seen that one (it's in one of the jelly roll books.). But there is one that actually interconnects. I have see one that a friend made a long time ago. She can't remember how she did it.
