I work on many projects and use Invisible (nylon) thread for the thread and bobbin. It works great for couching but my thread breaks! Any suggestions??
Thanks, I really enjoy this message board

Is the tension too tight, is the thread curling coming out of the needle? Also, consider the type and size of needle. Metallic needles have slightly larger eyes and that is easier on fragile threads.

I don't know what to suggest beyond tension and needle. My machine has no problem with invisible thread top and bottom.

Good luck, hope you get it figured out soon.

I had not thought of the metallic needle. Will for sure try that! Thanks so much. Will check tension also.

Are you winding the bobbin slowly so that it is not stretching the thread as it winds?

Probably not! I will try that. Thanks!

I will probably be starting another project using it in the next 3 wks and will report back!

I usually use regular thread in my bobbin and invisible on the top. I don't have many problems with breakage as long as I loosen my tension on the top.
