I am looking for pattern of the quilt in this picture. This site has A picture but I could not find the pattern. Not sure of the name either, is it star flower or Amish Dahlia?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

It is extremely similar to the 'Amish Dahlia' that can be found on the following site: www.quilterscache.com/QuiltBlocksGalore.html

They are grouped in alphabetical order. Just look under the "A's". These patterns (and instructions) are free. Hope this helps.

I have that quilt. It's Kansas Sunflower. My pattern came from the Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns by Leisure Arts, page 194.

So maybe different books call the same pattern different names?

As I looked more carefully, the Amish Dahlia pattern adds the petals later after the block is already pieced, whereas the Kansas Sunflower pattern from my book pieces the petals. They are cut and pieced as part of the block.

That particular photo is a stock photo from istockphoto.com, not from any pattern that the site has a link to. That's not to say it's not available as a pattern out there somewhere, only that the site paid for the use of the photo to enhance their site.
