A few of you may remember that I took down my LA frame. And my husband built a table for my Bailey to sit in.
Well this weekend I gave it a good test drive and I love it!

Sitting down and using my Bailey was so much easier on my lower back and hip. And I can control how fast my machine runs by using the foot pedal.

I had so much fun this weekend quilting.. And I tried the Elmer's washable glue for the basting part of the quilts I am working on. I don't think I will ever go back to using pins. Less stabbing !

Thanks everyone. Having a good set up for your machines makes sewing a lot more enjoyable.

I love it!

It looks great! I have one question, why is the machine facing the way it is facing? My friend's machine faces directly towards her, like when it was on the moving frame. Just wondering?

I find it more comfortable to have it sit this way. I have a more control over it also, it's like sewing on any of my other machines.

Looks wonderful! You should hire your husband out.

What a neat table that your hubby made for you....and it has a very generous space for holding the quilt while you are quilting a portion of the quilt. Beautiful!

I love all that space back there for the bulk of the quilt to sit. It was so much easier than having it try to pull my machine to the edge because of the weight.

Very happy for you!!

I saved this post when you wrote it & just showed it to my husband last night. We are moving with a job transfer & just bought a new house with a great sewing room for me. This is exactly what I want for my Janome 1600p. Thanks for sharing this!

What made you decide to take your LA frame down? I'm seriously considering taking mine down and just sitting down to FMQ so I can have all my sewing stuff in one room, but my husband has warned me that once it is taken apart, it's not getting put back together. Your table looks great! Also, how do you use the glue? Do you do that on large projects?

I took mine down for health reasons. I have arthritis in my lower back and hip issues. Standing for very long periods of time begins to hurt. I also have blood clots in my right lung and I can feel one in my right leg just behind the knee.

My husband said if I want my frame back up. We could drag all the pieces from the garage back into the annex and he would cheerfully rip out the table.....lol
I just recently started using Elmer's washable school glue and so far I like the results.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner, this posts on this forum move rather quickly.
