Hi,

Does anyone own this machine? The Janome 11000 embroidery? What do you think about it? Have you had any problems with it?

I'm seriously looking at one as my Memory Craft 9000 died this week.

Thanks,
Pats8e8

i bought one in November. I love it. the only problem i have is getting the tension just right for quilting. if i use different colors in top and bobbin, i usually get the little pin-dots on the back. but, since i've always had that problem it may not be the machine.

i compared models for more than a year before i settled on the MC11000. the newest Viking (Diamond, i think) compares favorably in terms of features and price but the nearest dealer to me is 4 hours away and i was too lazy to drive that far to see it in person. since every other comparison i'd made brought me right back to the MC11000 i don't wonder "what if". i know i made a good choice. :-)

I do not have the Janome 11000 but I do have the 10001. Have had it almost three yrs without a problem. My 9000 is still working and my daughter sews on it all the time. No problem with that one either. Seven yrs ago I bought the 3500 to take to class as the other one was too heavy. Janome is my choice of machines. Good Luck. Also you might want to ask if they are on special sale or if you could purchase a floor model at half the price. I also got the card reader so I could use all my mamory cards from the 9000. Marge

If you plan to do a lot of machine quilting, I would consider one with a stitch regulator. Bernina, and I think, Viking, offer the stitch regulator now but also think the other manufacturers will follow shortly.

Hi,
I have all Janome's too. My 9000 will be 14 yrs. old this year. It has blown fuses is the only problem I've had with it. Good machine. But now I'd lke to have the larger embroidery area. I have decided to go for it. :!: My sewing store that I always buy from will not be carrying this line any longer, so I am getting a great deal on the one they have left. They are giving me the Digitizer Pro kit and a few other extras. I also have the 1600P, which I call "The Beast", it is wonderful, and a serger, don't know it's number off hand, but it is good too.
Thanks for the info.

Know what you mean about a store 4 hrs. away. Mine is almost 2 hrs. away. But the people are so nice I always go back there. Have been dealing with them for 14 yrs. No one in our area carried Janome then. But that was the brand I wanted, and I still think it is the best. I like that it is one machine, no extra unit to add to it, to embroider. I will be going down to pick it up on Wednesday. wonder how long it will take to get to know it. I just bought a bunch of lace embroideries and would like to have some done for Easter. I will have to change them all over to the new language, but that shouldn't be too hard. I have Buzz tools to use. Or I guess I can do it with the Digitizer Pro they are including with the sale. I'll be busy next week having fun!
Thanks for the info.

I love my Memory Craft 10,000 and I have lusted after an new 11,000SE! I have always had great success with my Janome. I have used the Viking equivalent at a sewing show during my classes and found I liked the amenities available on my machine more. My Janome runs smoothly for both sewing and embroidery.

The first I used poly bat and had a little trouble hooping tight enough but sec one used machine batting I think was 80/20 and had no problem.
