jaws
Somewhere on line I found these jaws thingies. There were 12 or so of them in a set and they clamp the middle of your quilt sandwich to the lower backing roller. The bottom part of the sandwich falls between this bottom roller and the quilt top roller and are snuggly held in place. You use it when you have to put a quilt back on the frame for repair work, etc. Can any one tell me where I saw this.

I have absolutely no idea what you are referring to. However, you can get magnetic wall tool holders at Harbor freight and use those to hold the quilt to the front poles.

I think you are looking for "c" shaped clamps used to "float" a quilt top. Try Nancy's Notons at www.nancysnotions.com.

They are a little different than anything on this page but these might work. It I can't remember where I saw the ones with teeth inside the clamp I will try one of these. Thank you!
