Jelly Roll 1600
I put this quilt together using purple and lavender jelly rolls. Must have done something wrong. Right now the quilt is a good size if the stripes go up and down. But if I sew one more seam, it will be narrow and long enough for a basketball player! I'm not in love right now. I am going to add a narrow border then a wider one to see what that will do. I was so excited about this purple quilt. I'm sure someone will love it. I will post once it is done. I'm going to go work on an alphabet book instead of a quilt now.

Darn it ... no picture whenI am looking at it.

I'm sure it will look fantastic!

Did you keep with the standard Jelly Roll pieces? .... or did you use a different number?
Changing the starting fabric would change your end size. |
I have to admit that I was not thrilled with my variation of this quilt either. However it wasn't because of the size; mine turned out a pretty standard throw quilt size (can't remember exactly). I just didn't like the haphazardness of it! I used the "Dick and Jane" fabrics, and I chose a backing that I really like. I just use it with the backing side up in the living room, and it is just fine :)

I just put one together a few weeks back. Took long then the 30 minutes they said it would.Ended up about 46 wide and may 60 inches long.Getting ready to put a back on it. I used 2 jelly roll, each one was 20 pieces in it.

Oh, please post a pic now I want to see what you're talking about. (And hey, how can anything purple & violet not be striking??? :) )
