Jelly Roll Patterns...what are your favorites?

My DD found Jelly rolls for $7.50 at a Big Lots and called me to ask about pricing. After I told her it was a great price (as long as the fabric is good) she ended up buying 7 for her, and 5 of another pattern for me. Now I need a pattern! What are your favorites? One that is fairly simple would be great as DD doesn't quilt and I thought it would be a good time to help her learn. I can't think of a better day than teaching her how to piece, and seeing a new quilt top unfold with two machines running.

I love the diamond rail fence from Missouri Start Quilt Company. There is a tutorial on youtube and it is super easy.

Many of Eleanor Burns' quilts use 2 1/2" strips. Check this site out:

A Rail Fence or a 4 patch with sashing are good for starters. Let us know what you think of the fabric from Big Lots.

Thnks DoonaR, that is really pretty. I have a floral jelly roll that would be perfect.

I fell in love with this one and had just bought a jelly roll. This one calls for two so I just supplemented with my stash. It says moderate, but the sewing is straight, just more cutting I think. Check it out.

I like the jelly race or 1600 quilt. I make them larger (2400 quilt) by using 60 strips as opposed to 40. Also there is a cute tutorial for Sugar Almond quilt at Samelias Mum blog http://www.sameliasmum.com/2012/07/s...orial.html?m=1

Here is link to the one I made

What a coincidence! I just found this pattern yesterday and downloaded it and today I went through my stash looking for batiks to cut 2 1/2" strips from!!!
