Jelly Rolls and other precuts--how to store them?
I have recently acquired a lot of jelly rolls and other precuts. Before I use them, how do I store them? I am sure that
other board members have great ideas and right now, mine are falling all over the floor of our bedroom. Do you sort them according to color, keep them the way they come--I need help. I do not have any room for them in a closet or cupboard---plastic boxes?? Thanks for thinking about this for me--- Ikesgram |
Hmmm..i store precuts by size. A separate box each for jelly rolls, charms, layercakes. It just works better for me than trying to integrate them into the stash. Lucky you!

I keep them together until I use them. One of the reasons I buy jelly rolls or other precuts is to get the variety from the same collection that I know will work together.

The plastic shoeboxes with lids from the $ Store are great for storing jelly rolls and they stack neatly.

I keep mine in their packaging in a beautiful basket in my sewing area. They look so pretty and I have a couple of fat quarter bundles set up right beside it. My daughter says it looks like it does at the quilt store LOL. So until I use them, they become part of my home decor.

I keep all these in plastic bins and bought some of those nice storage boxes from Joann's but if there are different precuts of the same fabric line I make sure I keep them together so when I am ready to use them in a quilt I know how much fabric I can play with

I love the big hinged lid totes for Scrap booking. They are just over 12 inches square, about 3 inches high and fit layer cakes, FW, Jelly rolls all the precuts. It is easy to see what is in them, they stack nicely and are often on sale at Michaels.

Lucky you. Sorry no ideas as I use mine as quick as possible.

I love that idea!
