Is there a good book on jellyroll quilt patterns? I have no idea what jellyroll quilting is and want to learn about them. Are the jellyroll quilts hard to figure out?

There are several books on this. I've never bought one because there are rarely enough patterns that appeal to me to justify the price of a book. Actually, I'm almost done with one I copied, without a pattern, from the Clotilde catalog. The pic of the quilt makes it obvious how to do it, no pattern needed. I'm just making one appliqué block for interest. It took one jelly roll with not much waste at all. Have a bit of leftovers to something interesting on the back. About 40" x 60". Since you know the jelly roll strips are 2" wide, you can actually figure out patterns for many of them. And I'm not especially talented at this, if it strains my brain at all, I buy the pattern.

I love Strip Happy - I have made at least two quilts from this book and plan to make a couple more. :)

The first jelly roll book by Pam and Nicky Lintott is really good - I think I want to make every quilt in that book. They seemed to have a fresh look and a distinctive style in Jelly Roll Quilts. Every page is gorgeous and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The second one was pretty good, too.

I thought the last one they did is not nearly as good as the first one or even the second. They have a call out for submissions for their fourth.
