our 2 joanns in town closed up 3 weeks ago and the new one opened this week, wow is it big!!it has lost its "homy" feeling and there seems to be more craft things than fabric in the new store , but i think i will get used to it !! this place has been jam packed since it opened

My coupons for 60% off were expiring, so I sighed, and went to the store on Sunday. I scored big time at Joann's, need quilt backing, found it , needed fabric for a Christmas table runner, needed fabric for granddaughter rose pillow, etc, etc. Had a handful of coupons, plus the Merry Moolah coupons they had out. My total was $140. and I got out the door spending only $60.00. Wow, good day for me!!!!

Our new superstore here is the same, yes it's bigger and nicer but very disappointing if you're looking for more fabric selection or new quilting supplies ... they have no more than before, just the SOSO. They DO have about 1,000 bolts of FLEECE, here in hot weather Texas !! CRAZY
There are aisles upon aisles of craft supplies, overpriced plastic dollar store junk and holiday stuff ... greeting cards, wrapping paper ... WHY can't they leave that to Walmart and HL ??
I know I know ... because people BUY it ! Never mind providing us with better fabrics or new books or patterns ... heaven forbid

For the most part the Joann's near my home has wonderful people cutting the fabric and check out. There is one lady that can really be rude, but I just try to be as nice as I would like her to be to me. Many times the concerns I have are with the other customers - they can be the true pain. I would like to know why many of them do not have restrooms for the customers. Oh well! Just one of those things I guess.

If you go to Joann's.com and they usually have the coupons on their web site. Or you can google Joann's coupons and you will get several sites that you can go to to print or download to your smart phone. You can also sign up on Joann's web site to recieve their mailings.

JoAnn's empty

My biggest grip with JoAnn's, beside the lines for cutting fabric sometimes being incredibly long and some of the fabric incredibly poor quality(you really have to feel everything) is that the coupons are always huge discounts on REGULARLY priced fabric and their sales are such that most of the fabric is not on sale--usually marked 20-30% off--so that your 40-60% off coupons become worthless! What a marketing scheme! My sister worked in retail years ago and she said that retailers still make good money on you during sales--a shop that is doing well will have about a 80-100% mark up on the original price so that even a sale is still a money maker. Oh, well--I'm addicted to both buying fabric and quilting and Saturday plan to support my local quilt shop during Small Business Day!

The best I've ever gotten is 50% off. Does everyone know that Joann's will take Michael's and Hobby Lobby coupons?

It's the same with Olive Garden and Red Lobster. The same with IHOP. they will take their own expired coupons, as well as Sherri's and Denny's.
