are you talking about his frame?

If you click on search up at the top and type in flynn frame, there are several posts about this very topic. MollieSue made her own version of the Flynn frame from pieces that are easy (and cheap) to get at a hardware store. I purchased all the pieces to make one for 15 dollars and some change. Here is her post!

If you are doing small quilts up to crib size or so.. you will probably be happy with this frame set up.

The problem with this frame is the more you have rolled up on the bars, the more of the sewing machines throat area is being taken up...

Larger quilts wider than 44" or so, mean you would need to buy bigger rods for the frame too. This makes is necessary to have more room on either side of the machine.

I started quilting with a Flynn and it worked great, it is a good starter frame and now I use it when I am hand quilting. I machine quilted as large as a twin size with no problem. Good luck.

I saw Mr. Flynn at a quilt show in Denver, Co last year...I must say, he's an amazing quilter! His quilt is rolled up tight as a drum and he just made that thing sing! LOL!
