and what do you like about it? which frame do you have? Pros and Cons, please...

I really want something bigger/better than my little Brother for quilting and my budget will be $2k, not enough for the Sweet 16. So, I am reconciling to the Juki and frame, Kens has the setup for about $2,000. What's the good and bad about it? Please tell me.

I have my Juki TL98Q on a Hinterberg Stretch frame. The stretch frame is not needed for the Juki, the regular frame will handle it. But I knew I wanted a longer machine someday, so got the stretch first off. If you are planning on quilting large quilts, you probably can't plan on more than a 4-5" pattern. If you don't mind lots of rolling back and forth, you can do larger patterns of quilting. I love my Juki!! When I get a longer machine, I will keep the Juki for piecing. I like the needle threader and thread cutter. It has a good strong feel to it. The Hinterberg frame is very easy to store and you can get any length poles that will fit in your room. HTH

i have a phaff grand hobbyquilter which is very much like the jukie and i love it the price is sometimes even a bit better than a jukie. i have it on a B line frame and i love it it can acomidate a machine with up to 18" throught space and since i whant to move up to a larger machine in future i got the frame with a large capacity right from the start. they make a wonderfull combination. it is a good sturdy frame. good quality solid wood and easy to set up. DH and i set it up in a few hours.

i have the grace pinnacle frame.. but i know they have smaller ones.. (less money)... I LOVE my grace frame... it's all in getting used to... i have a janome 1600P machine, (a bit like the juki, but that's what my local dealer sells, and i like a dealer)..... it does almost 10 or more inches at once... once you get used to the "turning" of the rails.. it's no problem... i've got the money, but am going to get an 18" when upgrade.. the grace will take that and perhaps a 26"... check out the baily as well... it's reasonable...

I have the Juki TL98Q on the Grace GMQ-Pro frame. The few times I've used it, it seemed fine. To be honest, I bought it and realized I would rather make smaller quilts and complete them on my Janome machine than use the larger set-up. (I'm actually thinking of selling mine.) I've used the machine more off of the frame than on it and it's a very fast, good machine.
