Does anyone here own the Juki 98-TLQ and the new 2000Q? Just wondered. I got mine last night and I haven't sewn with it yet but just initial look at the cosmentics makes me wonder if the new one is a cheaper version (not price wise) of hte old 98Q.

I don't have the old one, but I adore the new one! The only difference as far as materials goes that I'm aware of is that the slide on table for the new one is plastic instead of wood.

I have the TL98Q and LOVE IT!!!!! Mine has the wooden table, several feet. I got mine on ebay (new) just a few months ago.

Glad to know you love it. As soon as I get home I was going to try it out. I love the 98 and haven't had a problem in 3 years. I was disappointed UPS lost my frame but new one comes Monday. Haven't ever used one before so we shall see how that goes.

Yes my 98-TLQ came with 2 or 3 more feet than are in the package for the new one. I will still be piecing with it and using the 2000 in a frame. I don't think I could ever part with the original 98-TLQ it's like my child.

I also have the new 2010Q. It has more features than the 2000QI. Off hand, I can't remember what they are, but the 2000 is made for internet sales and the 2010 has to bought from a dealer. BTW...I LOVE MINE!
