I debated and debated as to whether to get this now or wait. I checked around on prices and decided that Joann's had the best price at $199.00 and with free shipping, it was a done deal!!!

I also bought a large tumbler die from Amazon.com with gift cards I had earned and the cost was $0.00!!

Any tips on using the Go! will be so appreciated!

You will love the tumbler die!!! I normally use only 4 layers at a time. I cut my strips also...you only need 1/2 inch from the blades on each side...saves fabric. If you can buy the white mat do that...its see through so you can see the pattern that you are cutting. You will love the GO!!

buy extra WHITE mats( im told they last longer than the grey ones)..I go thru mats very quickly, I use my Go alot..

When my 10x10 and 6x12 mats are close to being trashed I use them for the 5x10 dies.. so I dont ever have to buy 5x10 mats unless its a great sale price then I pick up back up mats for my back up mats..

Do not use too many layers the first couple of runs thru your go. Let the die, mat & Go break in a little before you test on how many layers you can actually cut thru.. My comfort level was 5 unless it was fleece then no more than 3- it will stretch the fabric and distort your shape..

Use a piece of plain paper when cutting rag quilts helps with the excess threads getting stuck in the rag part of the die.. Major pain in the butt picking those threads out..

If I think of more Ill post..

also check out Ebonys website..

www.quiltpossible.com

she has got great tips on the GO..

Youre going to love it, Sherri! I ususally cut a shapefrom paper first, then I use that to measure my fabric for appliques! MAke sure when cutting squares to follw directions for the stretch, (hope that makes sence. Themore stretch is horizontal. Pm me with any questions!

My Go is three years old and works better now then it did new. I have most all the dies. I have used the tumbler die the most. I bought the Go Baby but DD borrowed it and I know I won't get it back. Youtube has all the tips and hints you need for the Go.
