Kaleidoscope help please!

I have 60+ kaleidoscope hexagons made. I'm wanting to showcase them individually rather than stitch together next to each other as an OBW. What is the best way to do this? I've thought about a couple ways to do it, but so far haven"t figured out what would work best...amount of background &/or sashing to add, etc.

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

One way is to put black triangles between the hexagons. This is a good example - http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...k-t198481.html

So the black triangles are just more of the sames size triangles used in the hexes, right?
That looks a lot easier than anything else I've considered so far!

I did the black triangles too

I left all my blocks in half hexagons and sewed them in strips like you would a OBW just with the black triangles which are the same size as all the other triangles

Or, if you've already put the hexagons together, you can add the black (equilateral) triangles and make the hexes into diamonds. And then assemble those diamond blocks into rows.
Either way, you'll have the same amount of "matching" up.

(Woody - I hope you don't mind if I borrowed your pictures to mark)

I added (kinda) 1/2 triangles to corners to make a square block. Then used sashing.

Here's another setting, a picture I saved some time ago from the board -- can't remember whose it was. It's unusual and therefore appealing.

Thanks all for the great ideas.
Jan, I agree that one is really special!
I decided to do the dark triangles, navy blue instead of black because of the blue background on about half of them.
Think it will work nicely. May end up doing it as two smaller throws. One featuring pinks and the other the blues, purples, reds. Will be some pink in both, but trying to do his/hers for my brother and his wife. Will see how it works out.
