I have a Kenmore 385.19233400 sewing machine. In the manual it says to use Kenmore bobbins, duh. The closest Sears is 45 min away. I called Sears they said to buy their bobbins. I tried looking on the internet, was directed to Sears again. I even did a search here but could not find out for my machine.
Does anyone know where I can find out what size bobbin it takes? I have size 66 and 15j from Grandma's basket I dont want to just put one in and try it. I dont want to mess up my baby. Thank you! |
Do NOT use a metal bobbin! The bobbin system uses some type of magnetic system, and a metal bobbin will mess it us.
You can use any plastic bobbins for a Janome machine. Kenmores that start with 385 are made by Janome. |
So what size does Janome take...66 or 15j?
|
Definitely not a 66. The 15J might work. The right bobbin is just like a regular 15-class bobbin, but the top is slightly rounded.
