I replaced my kitchen cutting mat because it was chewed up. Now put in on my acrylic sewing machine table, secure it with the presser foot and use it to pin on so I don't scratch my sewing table. The chewy part holds the fabric from slipping.

What a great way to reuse it. Good idea.
