I have hand pinned one other quilt before . Usually I either hand baste or spray baste them. Today I pinned a larger quilt using my Kwik Klip. I am totally impressed. It make the job so much easier and when I was done my fingers weren't sore or bleeding from pin sticks. The process was so much faster, also. If you hand pin your quilts and don't have one of these little wonders they are so worth the few $ to buy one. I got mine at Joann's with a coupon. I'm sold. I will be using mine for every quilt I pin.

I use one of the old grapefruit spoons, with the teeth on th end. My mother had 2 that she was willing to give me. they work just as well.

I wouldn't be without my Kwik Klip

I love my Kwik Klip! Just used this afternoon even.

I use my keys. It helps the same as the Kwik Klip, doesn't cost anything, and I have them with me all the time :)

I use a nutpick...it works great at lifting the pin end onto the pin end holder. I used to have a kwik klip but it disappeared...and since finding out a nutpick would work, that is what I have used instead.
