Long Arm quilters, your opinion please if you use a stand alone bobbin winder, is it a nice to to have, to need to have or a must have?

thanks!

I think it's a must-have item. I use one cone of thread for the bobbin winder and one is on my machine. I have control over the thread tension on the stand-alone bobbin winder.

Must have, those bobbin winders that is a part of the LA quilting machine, when you move fast and sew fast the bobbin winds fast and is tighter than when you sew slow, the tension of the thread is not the same throughout the bobbin.

Absolutely, must have.

mine is stand alone and I love it. I really value the fact that it is on its own and not an integral part of my machine. Just my opinion and I am sure others will say the opposite but mine is great. two cones of thread one for the machine one for the bobbin and off we go!!!!!!!

Definitely a must have. Mine came with the longarm.
