lil twister ruler please help

I have the primitive gatherings mini twister ruler. I would like to know do you have to have the same size blocks or can they be a bit larger. it calls for 3 1/2 and mine are 4 inches. do I have to cut them down or will it still work. My thoughts are it will still work but need someones advice that have used these rulers?

The ruler goes on the intersection of 4 blocks, so you can use larger squares to start. You'll have a little more waste, but if you cut them down, the trimmings will be lost anyway. Just use the larger ones and save yourself some work.

thanks that is what I thought to

Since the blocks are finished this really doesn's apply, but the bigger the blocks the more waste. Will look forward to seeing you finished quilt.

They will work. You will just have a lot more waste.

I really like the looks of these little twister quilts - who comes up with these great ideas?

A quick idea. Cut a cardboard square 4 inches. Mark centre of the square. Place ruler on top machine centre keep square . Mark the line positions . Remove ruler and join dots. Make a copy on plastic so can see centre. Should reduce waste. Somewhere on the Ethernet is a tute showing how to make your own twister ruler. Sorry lost link.
