I have just finished quilting my first row of melons on my mom's double wedding ring! It has only taken me six years to get to this point. It sure went fast!  My lines are a little wobbley, especially when I have to reposition my hands, but it is getting done! She is coming out Dec. 6th, so I better hurry! I am having my herniated neck disc fixed on the 9th, so I have to get it finished so I can give it to her for Christmas. I won't be able to look down to sew for awhile after the surgery. Wish me lots of free time before then!

I hope all goes well with your surgery and you get the quilt done in time.

When I went to a quilting seminar by Sue Nickels she said to train your self to completely stop the machine when changing hand positions. When you have you hands in the new position, start the machine up again. She said that eliminates a lot of the wobblies...
I tried it on my next quilt and it really does help. Best wishes on your upcoming surgery. |
Best of luck on your surgery! And wishing you lots of free time before then!
