Am getting the hang of this and see that I could clean out some fabric doing this, not to mention can do this when I am not sitting in front of my sewing machine, has anyone had any experience doing a throw mat size and how did it go? I like doing it, it is a good stress reliever, for sure. Thanks for any comment.

That"s going to be one of my future projects. Haven't tried it yet. For those who don't know what it is, look here:

I tried locker hooking when I saw it demonstrated at the Nashville AQS show several years ago.I wanted to do a rug big enough to put in front of my kitchen sink. Needless to say the rug is still not finished, but I have accumulated a lot of scraps that could be used for locker hooking. Really I found it to be pretty rough on my hands, maybe it was just the stiffness of the rug canvas that I was trying to use. Good luck with your project, but mine will probably end up being a trivet for hot pots in my kitchen! LOL! Sherry

Geesh, my hands would be killing me after 10 minutes of that. I have hooked rugs before and currently crochet, but together? UMmm, no thank you.

Thanks for the link.

This is such a good way to get rid of scraps of material, I may never get it done, but if I keep working at it, my pile of not sure what to do withs in my basement, should get smaller.

I tried it once and have a small trivet made for my table. The rest in in my someday pile LOL
