Where do you buy the needles for long arms? I have a Tin Lizzy and need to get more needles. I am assuming I get them online since I haven't seen them in the stores.

Awesome question, I am interested in this myself. ;)

Columbia River Quilting.....Kingsmen Quilting....bobbincentral.com......quilt tech.... and many other places. I personally use Groz-Beckert.

Haven't had to get needles for my longarm yet, but when I do, if I can't get them at the store that sold the machine to me, I'll probably check King's Men quilting supply at http://www.kmquiltingsupply.com/Needles/default.asp
I've ordered from them so far for long zippers and rulers and have been impressed with their speed. One quirky thing about them, though, is that if they don't have your item in stock, they don't backorder it. You just have to re-order it. Calling them to see if they have what you want might be a good idea. |
I purchase needles for my A-1 longarm from Allbrands.com. They seem to have the best prices and I buy them in packs of 100...I buy the titanium and one needle seems to last me a year. I only change the needle because I begin to feel guilty, they are made by Organ and they just go forever.

Also try superior threads.

Check ANY store in your area that sells longarms. They generally use the same needles -- just not the needles used on your domestic sewing machine. Also, the businesses listed above.

Superior has them!

When a machine quilting show or expo hits your area that is the best time and place to stock up! The show specials are usually too good to pass up. I got a bunch from Superior threads at the MQX in Rhode Island.
Also your LA dealer should carry them too. |
